Personalised Speech Sounds Learning Mat

This speech sound learning mat has been designed to help children aged 3-5 years who are struggling with pronouncing some of their sounds or older children with more complex speech delays.

This stage 1 learning mat covers the first 9 sounds for your child to practise.

The idea is to ask your child to point to one of the pictures on the mat and make the sound of the first letter. There are a mixture of noisy and quiet sounds.

Use the mat on its own or as additional support alongside your exisiting SALT (Speech and Language Therapy) resources.
